Spring in Your Store

Spring has sprung! It seemed like it was a long time coming this year, but it really is here! It’s time to make sure your store is bright, clean, remerchandised and ready to welcome both the season and more importantly, your customers, to celebrate it!
It's easy to overlook the small details around your store that can sometimes make a big difference. Whenever possible, put yourself into the shoes of a potential customer as you approach your location. Take stock of what stands out, what creates a first impression and what could potentially be improved. Start with what your customers see before they even get into the store. If you haven’t ever thought about making your entranceway more attractive, now is the time! Some simple potted flowers not only put your customers into a more positive mind frame, but they also draw people’s attention as they pass by your store and, your door. If you have a welcome mat, make sure it looks clean and new. These door mats don’t seem to last very long in the new pristine condition they arrive in. A dirty welcome mat doesn’t bode well for what a customer will think is inside. Of course, clean windows with nothing blocking or taped on them is a much better look than fingerprints or dusty corners with notices taped on or around the first place a customers eyes will go.
Remember to replace your front window displays with bright colors and products that are seasonal if you have some. If you don’t have much in seasonal offerings, make them seasonal by surrounding them with spring colors, and again, maybe some potted spring flowers. It’s all about remerchandising and portraying a sense of “new”.
If you have all your store signage customized, reprint it so it has a spring vibe. If you choose yellow as your spring color, have all the potted flowers be yellow. Consistency makes a bigger statement. People will feel less overwhelmed and confident with one main color in your seasonal decorating.
If you have a nice little candy dish at the counter, make sure it has spring wrapped candy in it, not left over Valentines Day candy. It’s a small thing, but it seems to be a common mistake…

To summarize, “As shoppers look for lighter, brighter, and more inspiring environments, now is the perfect time to replenish your store...and ultimately boost sales." — shop POP displays
There is so much more needed to complete your spring store vibe, but the above small things can make a big difference with only a little effort. Here’s to a huge spring selling season!
